“I feel important here every day”
I ended up at Holmatro through my best friend. He completely sold Holmatro on me. I didn’t know what I wanted. I’ve never really known. I thought: I’ll just apply. At Holmatro, I was able to start as an all-around warehouse employee. When that no longer offered a challenge after six months, HR provided career guidance. Together, we explored what I enjoy and what my qualities are. They had confidence in my strengths. Now I’m a Shipping Planner. Together with my colleagues, I manage the export of our goods from the Netherlands to all other countries. I’m also the purchasing contact for our American branch. It feels like a big step in a short time!
Career Opportunities
I’m not one to sit back and relax. I don’t expect everything to be handed to me; I like to take initiative. At Holmatro, you get plenty of opportunities to explore what you want and what you can do. I say yes to everything. Holmatro, in turn, has never said no. With every opportunity I’ve been given, I’ve proven what I can do. That’s how I grew from a warehouse worker with no experience to everything I do now in just 3.5 years. During that time, I discovered what I want. And I discovered I can do it! Holmatro helped me with that. This is it for me. I’ve never felt this way before. Step by step, I’m advancing further in the planning world. I want to grow, and with a degree program, I can. That’s why, in addition to my job, I’m now also studying Planning and Inventory Management.
Confidence
I enjoy coming to work every day, especially because I learn something new every day and am constantly being challenged. For example, our master planner will soon be going on maternity leave, and I’ll be able to take over some of her tasks. I’m already looking forward to that. I want to be constantly challenged; that’s the most important thing. It shouldn’t be too easy, or I’ll get bored. For me, Work With Power doesn’t just refer to the powerful tools we provide. For me, it also means continually empowering myself by applying and expanding my knowledge. The freedom and trust Holmatro gives me to do this is truly special. Here, I feel important every day.
